From November 1st to February 1st We will be providing discounted call outs of up to 25% for elderly, vulnerable or people living alone. We want to provide additional help over the more difficult winter months with emergencies if required, but also small jobs like replacing lighting or smoke alarm batteries for customers who may not be able to carry out such jobs.
Emergency number removed
We have now removed our emergency number from our system so we will no longer take calls or messages from that number. All our current contact numbers are on our contact page, along with our email address and all socials (Facebook, Instagram, Tiktok) which we can be contacted on.
The NW Electrical charity match 2024!
We held our charity match on the 12th May and once again was a fantastic event, our 9th charity match now and it shows no signs of slowing down. The match was great and what ended in a 2-2 draw went to a dramatic penalty shootout. We raised another £1400 for our nominated charities St Raphael’s Hospice and Cancer Research UK. A huge thank you to everyone involved in the organising, the players and all that came down to support.
This now takes our overall fundraising tally to £16,000 since we started fundraising back in 2014. We have no interest in stopping here and are already planning new initiatives and next year which will be our 10th match, so its going to be a big one. Watch this space!
If you are keen to get involved, want to donate to our nominated charities or want to know more about what we do as a company then get in touch or fill out one of our enquiry forms!
Charity events and updates March 24.
On May 12th we are holding our annual charity football match which will be our 9th event spanning 11 years now. Its always been a successful event and we are really excited to host again at Surrey Sports park. This year we are aiming to cross the £15,000 mark since we started fundraising. We will be once again raising funds for Cancer Research UK and St Raphael’s Hospice. All are welcome along as its free to attend, only ask for donations.
This year one of our directors Neil is undertaking a dry 2024. The plan is no consumption of alcohol for 2024 to raise funds for St Raphael’s Hospice. Neil’s dad had a brief stay at St Raphael’s before passing away in February 2020 and we have been raising funds for them ever since. If anyone would like to donate to either cause or be a part of the events then please get in touch. The JustGiving link for St Raphael’s is below and if you would like to find out more or think you can help in any way then please get in touch.

Call out/hourly rate increase (Jan 24)
We have maintained our hourly rates for 2 years to be as fair to customers as possible, however due to the ongoing cost of living situation and material increases which unfortunately haven’t started to fall, we have had to slightly increase our hourly rates. These now will be £80.00 for the first hour and £60.00 for the following hours + VAT. We like to remain as transparent as possible with our pricing, so there are never surprise costs.
We feel these are in line to keep competitive within the market and reflect the service we provide. Quotations can still be carried out to provide an accurate cost for works being carried out.
ST Raphael's JustGiving link
We have created our brand new company St Raphael’s JustGiving link to make donating easier for anyone who may wish to do so.
St Raphael’s carry out incredible care and end of life care for patients and amazing support for their loved ones at such a difficult time. We have been fundraising for St Raphael’s for nearly 4 years after Neil, one of our directors father passed away. He spent nearly 2 weeks there and seeing the care first hand was inspiring. If you would like to donate to a truly deserving cause then follow the link below!

Elderly and vulnerable discount
Over the winter period we are offering discounted call outs for elderly and more vulnerable people for both electrical issues but also more minor jobs that people might be struggling with or finding it difficult to find someone. We are hoping it will provide some peace of mind and relief during a financially uncertain time.
If you have an elderly relative or someone who lives on their own then feel free to pass on our details for friendly, approachable engineers who will be able to help.
On the Tools award nomination
What a fortnight we have had. After the lovely news we had about winning the national award for ‘The extra mile awards’, We also found out we were a finalist in the ‘On the tools awards’ for ‘Electrician of the year’. the awards evening is in Birmingham on the 9th of November so we are really looking forward to that.
The nominations and awards are all based on our charity work, fundraising and approach to our work. We have always run our company with the view that the customer, any customer, should be able to contact a trade, get a response with honest information, then have that followed up with a job where not only is the job well done, but the customer feels comfortable having you around and would definitely have you back. This is how we approach all our work, and we will maintain this approach to the best of our ability, for the long term. We believe having a trade in shouldn’t be a bad experience, it should be easy and leave you with a positive outcome and experience.
National Award
We were recently presented with a national award from Selco with a competition they had been running. We had been anonymously nominated and amongst a large amount of entries were chosen as winners. The award was the extra mile awards and we had been chosen due to our charity work spanning a decade. The full article is below:
